This album is the last album by the band. This album was presented to the world in 2004 and it is by far the most impressive and changing one. With this album slipknot changed path, and tried to do something a little more commercial always staying in their own style. For this, they wrote songs such as "vermillon" or "Danger keep me away" which are extremly slow and not agressive. Not like what they are use to do.
The intrumentation in this album is dry and the percussions are more present, but less brutal. The use of synthetiser also gives some songs some air. Duality and Before I Forget are by far the most popular songs from this album. Repetition is extremly present, but not tiring. Guitars use alot of Arpegios and Crescendos in a lot of ways. As the guitars mainly plays extremly simple things, they intend to complicated the way they do it, and not what they do.
Slipknot is nine members. All have their speciality. There is a Drummer (Joey Jordison, extremly known in the world for his skills and techniques. Also famous for the double drums bass roll), there is the singer (Which sings also in StoneSour), two Guitarists, A bass, two percusionists, and a DJ. What made them famous, apart from their music, is their appearance, they all wear masks.
