The piece enters with a clarinet which trills during the period of 3 to 4 seconds in, followed by a glissando at 7 seconds into a section with brass band. The Clarinet plays the main ostinato at 12 seconds, accompanied by the brass section. The clarinet takes a back seat to the brass section at 37 seconds, with strings at 42 seconds. The trumpet prominently plays the ostinato at 54 seconds followed by a piano solo between 58 and 63 seconds and the brass section returns with the main ostinato at 64 seconds for 8 seconds. From 72 seconds onwards, the piano is the sole instrument. At 123 seconds, the piano plays the main ostinato and the extract ends.
