Karlheinz Stockhausen was born in august 1928 and he died in December 2007. He was a very influential German composer. Though he was influential he was also a very controversial some might say strange composer. He was know for his revolutionary musical style, serialism. In this style he incorporated techniques used by the impressionists and lots of electronic elements. This meant he had set himself up for criticism as the whole atonal aspect of the style is widely criticized, whilst some of the critics say that he was a 20th centaury revolutionary others say that his music was distasteful. Personally his music is not to my pallet.
